Muganga SACCO Holds 9th Ordinary GA

Muganga SACCO recently held its 9th Annual General Assembly at Lemigo Hotel in Kigali, bringing together member representatives and leaders from across Rwanda’s health sector to review the institution’s performance in 2025 and approve the action plan and budget for 2026.

The meeting was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Health, its affiliated institutions, hospitals, and health centers across the country.

During the Assembly, the Chairperson of the Board of Directors noted that Muganga SACCO has continued to grow steadily since receiving its operational license from the National Bank of Rwanda three years ago. He highlighted the SACCO’s progress in strengthening governance, expanding services, and building trust among health professionals.

Among the key initiatives discussed was the expansion of digital financial services, including salary payments through Muganga SACCO accounts. The cooperative also continues to provide specialized financial products, such as the GIRIWAWE housing loan, developed in partnership with the Development Bank of Rwanda (BRD), to help members access affordable housing.

Muganga SACCO has also introduced the Scholar Loan, designed to help members finance their studies or support their children’s education.

Members emphasized the importance of unity, integrity, and innovation as key drivers of the cooperative’s continued growth.

Looking ahead to 2026, Muganga SACCO plans to further strengthen governance, expand the use of technology in its operations, and increase access to housing loans for its members.

In his closing remarks, Donatien Ntagara Ngabo, representing the Minister of Health as Guest of Honour, commended Muganga SACCO for the progress achieved in a short period and reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to continue supporting the cooperative in improving the welfare of health professionals.
